Satellite operators want EU to guarantee space services

The European Satellite Operators Association (ESOA) welcomed an agreement achieved by EU ministers but warned that a new regulatory framework for electronic communications, currently debated in the European Parliament (EP), may “jeopardise the long-term stability of distribution of services provided by satellite operators.”

U.S. court ‘inappropriate forum’ for claim against ImageSat

Microsats successfully collaborate in space

Alliant Techsystems said that the constellation of five micro satellites it built for NASA’s THEMIS (Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms) mission has successfully demonstrated how satellites can work together to collect data.

GOCE prepares for shipment to Russia

Launching in just two months’ time, GOCE – now fully reconfigured for launch in September, is currently being prepared for shipment on 29 July 2008 from ESA’s test facilities in the Netherlands to the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia.
