OHB can expect multimillion-euro Galileo contract – report

It has already been reported that the EU Commission is likely to award OHB Technology, Germany, a contract for at eight satellites for the Galileo satnav system. Industry sources now said it could be even for 14 spacecraft. An official announcement is expected on 7 January.

MDA to provide “technology solutions” for Boeing 702B satellites

MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. announced it has signed a multi-million dollar contract with Boeing Satellite and Intelligence Systems, Inc.

Launches with ESA participation in 2010

The European Space Agency has published a list of events with ESA participation in 2010. According to the agency, the payload for the first Soyuz-STB lifting off from French Guiana will be Avanti Communications’ Hylas-1 satellite.

Second Falcon 9 stage completes final test firing
