Australia extends hosted payload contract on Intelsat 22

Intelsat S.A. announced an expansion of its April 2009 agreement for UHF hosted payload services with the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

NASA UAV science mission utilises GE-23 capacity

GE – Satellite was recently chosen by NASA to provide Ku-band satellite connectivity for a science mission to study atmospheric and environmental conditions across in the Pacific via Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).

Unnamed government customer books HYLAS-2 capacity

Avanti Communications Group plc said it has signed a contract with a Government customer for the sale of an option over specific capacity on the HYLAS 2 satellite, which serves the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

USAF awards United Launch Alliance AEHF-3 launch

The U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center recently awarded United Launch Alliance a contract modification to perform the launch services for the Advanced Extremely High Frequency-3 (AEHF-3) satellite aboard an Atlas V Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle.

Helios IIB completes in-orbit testing

The in-flight acceptance of the Helios IIB satellite has been successfully completed by Astrium on behalf of the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) and under delegation from the French space agency, CNES.
