Snowed In: Five Great Winter Movies to Watch on Satellite TV

February 2nd, 2011 by

For those who are trapped indoors because of nasty weather that’s spreading across the country, there is sometimes a tendency to choose entertainment that is designed to distract. Rather than focus on the fact that there are gigantic piles of snow gathering outside of one’s home, the logic goes, it makes more sense to choose a movie about vacationing to an island or something that will be entertaining and sun-soaked. And while this does work part of the time, it’s not the best way to actually accept the fact that the mercury is plummeting and that there are icicles forming. And sometimes, that’s an essential thing to do, in order to properly survive winter.

Get Ready for 3D Satellite TV

February 2nd, 2011 by

Would you invest in a project that was guaranteed to make nearly half of the people who use it sick or uncomfortable? The average person would say “no,” but some of the top people in entertainment and electronics are giving such projects and enthusiastic “yes.” What could they be pouring so much time, money and energy into?
