Marlink renews and expands contract with TSBc

Marlink,the maritime VSAT service provider recently acquired by Astrium, has announced an agreement with Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBc) to renew and increase Marlink’s capacity for the next three years.

Amos-3 offers one-hop Ku-band capacity between U.S. and Mideast

Spacecom announced that its Amos-3 satellite now has “one-hop” Ku-band capacity available to serve an array of data communication needs between the U.S. East Coast and the Middle East.

Maritime satcom market tops 5.5% in terminal growth, $1.4 billion in revenues

In the second edition of the report “Maritime Telecom Solutions by Satellite, Global Market Analysis & Forecasts,” Euroconsult forecasts that the number of satellite communications terminals in the global maritime market will nearly double over the next decade, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7% over the 10-year period.
