Apstar 7 launches on Chang Zheng 3B/E

Rocket: Chang Zheng 3B/E; Payload: Apstar 7; Date: 31 March 2012, 1027 UTC; Launch site: Xichang Satellite Launch Center, China. The satellite was deployed to its targeted geostationary transfer orbit 26 minutes after lift-off.

ATV-3 power connection, station reboost successful

Multi-national flight controllers successfully connected a backup power channel on Saturday, 31 March to the European Space Agency’s “Edoardo Amaldi” Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) cargo ship, enabling electricity to flow from the International Space Station to the ATV to set the stage for a reboost of the station while avoiding an early undocking of the resupply craft.
