New Chinese mapping satellite launched

Rocket: Chang Zheng 2D; Payload: Tian-Hui 1B (TH-1B); Date: 6 May 2012, 0710 UTC; Launch site: Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, China. The mapping satellite has entered its preset orbit, Chinese media reported.

Energomash works on novel rocket fuel

Russia’s Energomash has reportedly started development of a new rocket engine which could reduce the cost of rocket launches and avoid the need to produce hydrogen for fuel.

New date for SpaceX COTS 2/3 launch
