Dragon concludes test flight with successful splashdown

SpaceX’s Dragon capsule splashed down in the Pacific Ocean at 1542 UTC west of Baja California, Mexico, marking a successful end to the first mission by a commercial company to resupply the International Space Station.

Boeing gets DARPA contract for air launch system

U.S. Air Force awards Lockheed Martin GPS III flight operations contract

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Lockheed Martin (LMT) a US$68 million contract to provide mission readiness, launch, early orbit checkout and on-orbit operations engineering support for the first two GPS III space vehicles. The first and second GPS III satellites are on schedule for launch availability in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
