Indra leads development and implementation of Ingenio ground segment

Indra has closed with the European Space Agency the definition of the requirements for the system that will manage the Spanish satellite Ingenio. The technological company leads the development, implementation and start-up of the ground segment for the future Spanish ground-based optical observation satellite, which will be ready to enter into service in 2015.

ATV-3 departure from ISS set for Friday

The undocking of the ATV-3 supply craft from the International Space Station (ISS) will take place Friday after a three-day delay, the European Space Agency (ESA) said. The vessel should have separated from the ISS on 25 September.

Orbcomm’s first OG2 satellite targeted for launch on 7 October

Orbcomm Inc. announced that the first prototype of Orbcomm’s second generation (OG2) of satellites has completed testing and was shipped from Sierra Nevada Corporation’s (SNC) Integration and Test Facility in Louisville, Colorado, and arrived at the launch site in Cape Canaveral.

Emcore to provide solar panel for ICESat-2

Emcore Corporation has been awarded a solar panel manufacturing contract by Orbital Sciences Corporation for NASA’s Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) mission targeted for launch in early 2016.

European cargo craft undocking postponed

The undocking of ATV-3 from the International Space Station late last night was postponed due to an incorrect command. During operations ATV-3 performed perfectly in line with its pre-defined measures.

L-3 wins contract to provide communications for International Space Station

U.S. weather satellite out of service, replaced with backup

GOES-13 (East) has experienced a malfunction and is unable to generate imagery. Engineers are working on a fix and an estimated return to service is undetermined at this time.
