Hispamar, SES, Eutelsat win rights to Brazilian satellite slots

Hispamar Satelites, SES DTH do Brasil and Eutelsat Brazil LTDA have won the rights to use Brazilian orbital slots for 15 years, the National Telecommunications Agency, or Anatel, said.

European Space Imaging partners with DigitalGlobe and e-GEOS

European Space Imaging announced that they have joined forces with e-GEOS (ASI/Telespazio) and DigitalGlobe to provide imagery and data processing services as part of the multi-year framework supply contract with the European Commission for the provision of very high-resolution satellite data and associated services in support of the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

Galileo FOC satellites arrive at Guiana Space Center

The first two Galileo FOC (Full Operational Capability) satellites arrived today at the Guiana Space Center (CSG), Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. In the next few days, preparations for their launch will kick off.

Teledyne awarded US$17.6 million for upgraded space power components

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated announced that its subsidiary, Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc. was awarded a contract by the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) for a technology transfer and flight hardware upgrade programme which could be valued up to US$17.6 million.
