Venus Climate Orbiter “Akatsuki” to try orbit injection in December

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency has decided the schedule for the Venus Climate Orbiter “Akatsuki” to be injected into the Venus orbit in the winter of 2015, as well as its observation plan.

Harris Corporation to acquire Exelis

Harris Corporation and Exelis, Inc. announced a definitive agreement under which Harris will acquire Exelis in a cash and stock transaction valued at US$23.75 per share, or an approximately US$4.75 billion enterprise value.
