Moog’s Dublin facility, part of the Moog Inc. Space and Defense Group, announced the commencement of a European Space Agency (ESA) technology transfer programme to protect spacecraft by reducing harsh vibration experienced during launches.

The QuickBird satellite designed and built by Ball Aerospace for DigitalGlobe de-orbited successfully last month after making 70,000 trips around the Earth during its more than 13 years on orbit.

To date, the Gonets-D1 #14 satellite, developed and built by ISS-Reshetnev Company, has been operating in orbit 12 times longer than initially anticipated.
