The launch of India’s fourth Navigation Satellite IRNSS-1D onboard PSLV-C27 is now officially scheduled at 1149 UTC on Saturday, 28 March 2015 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.

GPS IIF-9 ready for launch

The U.S. Air Force and its industry partners are scheduled to launch the ninth Boeing-built Global Positioning System (GPS) IIF satellite aboard a United Launch Alliance Delta IV launch vehicle on 25 March. The launch window opens at 1836 UTC and will remain open for 18 minutes.

Delay of the day: Falcon 9/TurkmenAlem52E/MonacoSat (again)

SpaceX has further delayed the launch of TurkmenAlem52E/MonacoSat aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, and will instead go ahead with the lift-off of a Dragon supply ship on a cargo delivery flight to the International Space Station first.

Error detected in GPS ground control system

Lockheed Martin said it is working to resolve a technical error that affected some global positioning system (GPS) satellites. The error involved the satellites’ ground control system and did not degrade the accuracy of GPS signals.

Next Proton launch may be delayed by contamination

Tanks of the second stage of the Proton-M rocket due to blast off from Baikonur on 6 April with Ekspress AM8 on board are contaminated, Interfax-AVN reported citing a source in the rocket and space industry.
