USAF releases first BAA award

The U.S. Air Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center released the first award notice on 4 November under the Booster Propulsion Technology Maturation Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) solicitation supporting technology maturation and risk reduction for rocket propulsion system development.

Harris unfurlable mesh reflectors deploy on MUOS satellite

Two unfurlable mesh antenna reflectors developed by Harris Corporation have successfully deployed onboard the fourth Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellite built by Lockheed Martin for the U.S. Navy.

ESA to expand portfolio of space weather products

ESA said its Space Situational Awareness efforts now generate almost 60 ‘products’ – including high-quality measurements, forecasts, alerts and expert analysis – from teams participating in the Agency’s space weather network, heading for over 140 next year.
