AEHF-5 launch now set for 8 August

A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket is in final preparations to launch the fifth Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) military communications satellite for the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center. The launch is planned for 8 August at Space Launch Complex-41 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

Arianespace to launch smallsats directly into GEO

Arianespace introduced a service providing fast-track access to Geosynchronous Equatorial Orbit (also known as geostationary orbit, or GEO) for the new generation of small satellites, offering a first flight opportunity with more than 4,500 kg of such payloads on its “GO-1” mission in the first half of 2022.

Roskosmos postpones launch of 2nd Arctic weather satellite

The launch of the second Russian satellite for weather forecasting and monitoring climate and environment in the Arctic region, Arktika-M, has been postponed to 2023 from 2021, according to documents of Russia space corporation Roskosmos published on the public procurement website.
