Thales Alenia Space has successfully completed the first study phase of the European Space Agency’s (ESA) HydRON (High-thRoughput Optical space Network) project.

ESA will further increase the competitiveness and environmental sustainability of Europe’s Vega launch system beyond 2025 through a contract, worth €118.8 million, signed with Avio in Italy.

The launch of first Russia’s next-generation GLONASS-K2 navigation satellite has been postponed until 2022, a rocket and space industry source was quoted as saying by Tass news agency.
