DISH Network to purchase DBSD

DISH Network Corporation announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire 100 percent of the equity of the reorganised DBSD North America, Inc., a hybrid satellite and terrestrial communications company, for approximately US$1 billion.

NewSat acquires satellite slots

NewSat Limited has entered into an agreement to acquire orbital slots for accommodating satellites. Currently licensed to AP Kypros Satellites Limited, a range of frequency assignments at several orbital slots will be exclusively sublicensed to NewSat, the company said.
