Broadband satellite services company Hughes Communications Inc. has reportedly hired Barclays Capital to advise on a sale of the company.

The planned European satellite navigation system Galileo needs EUR1.9 billion (US$2.5 billion) on top of the EUR3.4 billion already budgeted for it, the EU commission concluded in a mid-term review of the project.
