The launch of a Tsiklon-3 rocket with the Koronas Foton satellite on board was postponed indefinitely.

Arianespace said its initial Ariane 5 mission of 2009 has taken another major step closer to its 12 February lift-off with the launch vehicle’s transfer to the Final Assembly Building at Europe’s Spaceport.

New satellites, among them military and dual-use vehicles, will be added to the Russian orbiting cluster in 2009, Roskosmos said according to Interfax.

According to BuaNews, the date for the launch of the long-delayed SumbandilaSat science satellite has been set for 25 March aboard a Soyuz rocket that is also to carry the Meteor-M weather satellite.
