Teal Worldwide Mission Model Estimates 2,229 Space Payloads

Teal Group Corp. announced it has revised upward its Worldwide Mission Model of future space payloads. According to the Teal survey, there are 2,229 space payloads proposed for launch to Earth or lunar orbits or deep space trajectories from 2010-2029.

Governments world-wide invest a record US$68 billion in space programmes

International research and analyst firm Euroconsult announced that world-wide government expenditures for space programmes grew by 10 percent in 2009 over 2008, reaching an historical peak of US$68 billion.

Asia pay-TV figures higher than rest-of-world combined

The Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) announced new data for subscription TV penetration across the Asia Pacific, noting that the region now has 326 million pay-TV, up 26 million homes in 2009.
