ictQATAR (representing the State of Qatar) and Eutelsat Communications announced the signing of a partnership agreement to invest in and operate a new highcapacity satellite at Eutelsat’s 25.5 degrees East location, one of the two neighbourhoods serving fast-growing markets in the Middle East and North Africa regions.

Thales Alenia Space Italia and Telespazio have signed a contract with the Italian Ministry of Defence and the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) for the development of the Sicral 2 satellite and ground segment for military communications.
