Kepler recovers from fourth safe mode

NASA’s Kepler satellite experienced another safe mode event on 2 February 2010. As a safety precaution, the spacecraft turned off a redundant system, photometer, and both star trackers.

Thales Alenia Space, OHB likely to build new Meteosats

According to German media reports, Astrium has suffered another setback as ESA has decided to negotiate exclusively with Thales Alenia Space a EUR1.4-billion contract to build the Meteosat Third Generation satellites.

Boeing’s fourth WGS satellite passes key integration milestone

Boeing in late December successfully integrated the satellite bus and payload module for the fourth of six Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites the company is building for the U.S. Air Force.
