Starling’s MIJET antenna passes airworthiness test

Starling Advanced Communication Ltd, Israel, announced that MIJET, a fuselage-mounted antenna for airliners, has successfully passed its airworthiness test. The MIJET antenna system was installed on a Boeing 737 aircraft per applicable U.S. federal aerospace regulations and in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements.

Loral, Global Crossing link up Tristan da Cunha

Loral Skynet has teamed with Global Crossing , a provider of terrestrial-based telecommunications services, to extend the reach of the British Government’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) network to the world’s most remote island community, Tristan da Cunha. Services to Tristan are being rolled out under Global Crossing’s contract to manage the FCO’s global communications infrastructure.

Intelsat’s GlobalConnex lands in Brazil

Boeing, Hughes test Spaceway broadband IP capabilities

Harris achieves AEHF NMT communications with Milstar satellite

Harris Corporation announced that it is the first company to successfully acquire and track low and medium data-rate waveforms on the Milstar 6 satellite using an Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) U.S. Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT) prototype system.
