Skylogic, the broadband affiliate of Eutelsat Communications, has been awarded a contract by the Diputacion Provincial de Zaragoza to bring full broadband amenities to 120 communities in the region of Saragossa in northern Spain.

Energomash corruption scandal does not affect Atlas V launches

United Launch Alliance, the joint venture that operates the Atlas rocket programme, said it was not affected by a corruption scandal that involves Energomash, the Russian manufacturer of the RD 180 engine used for the Atlas V’s first stage.

Arabsat 2B drifts after brief outage

Arabsat-2B on 26 September, 1330 UTC, experienced a minor glitch that affected the pointing of the satellite. Within approximately 2 hours, the problem was corrected and the satellite recovered its nominal pointing, Arabsat said.
