Toshiba announces GaN FET with highest power in Ku-band

Toshiba Corporation announced that it has developed a gallium nitride (GaN) power field effect transistor (FET) for the Ku-band (12 GHz to 18 GHz) frequency range that achieves an output power of 65.4 W at 14.5 GHz, the highest level of performance yet reported at this frequency band.

Northrop tests multi-mission command and telemetry system

Northrop Grumman, in conjunction with ground system teammate Raytheon, recently completed the System Acceptance Test (SAT) of a Common Command and Telemetry System (CCTS) that will potentially reduce costs between two programmes, James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and the U.S. National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS).

WGS SV-1 pre-launch details
