Avtec Systems awarded TDRSS K-band upgrade project

Avtec Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CVG, Inc., announced that it has been awarded a contract from Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. to demonstrate an enhanced satellite communications receiver and modulator for NASA’s Tracking Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS) K-band Upgrade Project (TKUP).

MetOp-A’s backup AHRPT stays offline for the time being

First AEHF satellite completes baseline test

Lockheed Martin has completed a major test of the first Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite, demonstrating its readiness to enter the critical environmental test phase in preparation for launch in late 2008, the company said.

ISS solar wing torn during deployment
