Asia Satellite Telecommunications (AsiaSat) has entered into a launch contract with ILS International Launch Services, Inc. replacing Sea Launch Limited Partnership for the provision of the launch of AsiaSat 5.

During a review of space shuttle Discovery’s readiness for flight, NASA managers decided on 20 February that more data and possible testing are required before launching the STS-119 mission to the International Space Station.

RSC Energia in a rather unusual statement said it was no longer taking an active part in ILS International Launch Services, Inc. (ILS). Energia said it has been debarred from any meaningful participation in ILS in the recent years.
