CO2 monitoring satellite lost in launch failure

NASA’s Orbiting Carbon Observatory satellite failed to reach orbit after launch aboard a Taurus XL from California’s Vandenberg Air Force Base.

North Korea announces satellite launch

North Korea said it was preparing to launch a satellite on a domestically produced rocket. A date for the launch was not given in the statement by the Korea Space Technology Committee published by the official Korean Central News Agency.

Telstar 11N pre-launch details

Telstar 11N, a new satellite for Telesat’s international fleet, is now scheduled for launch 26 February aboard a Zenit 3-SLB rocket from Baikonur, Kazakhstan.

Eutelsat’s satellite carousel turning again

WorldView-2 completes instrument integration

DigitalGlobe announced that the WorldView-2 remote sensing instrument, provided by ITT Corporation’s Space Systems Division, has been integrated by Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. into the WorldView-2 spacecraft and system-level testing has commenced.
