An International Launch Services Proton M launch vehicle, utilising a 5-burn Briz M mission design, will lift off from Pad 39 at Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, with the IndoStar 2/ProtoStar II satellite on board on 15 May.

The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and NASA officials announced Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. has (again) been selected to build two satellites for NOAA’s next generation geostationary satellite series, GOES-R.
