Final spacewalk of STS-125 mission complete

The STS-125 crew completed the fifth and final spacewalk on the Hubble Space Telescope Monday at 1922 UTC. Mission specialists John Grunsfeld and Drew Feustel began the spacewalk at 1220 UTC.

Node 3 leaves Thales Alenia Space’s plants

Node 3 has left the Turin plant of Thales Alenia Space, heading towards NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, from where it will be launched towards the International Space Station.

Satellite for record-setting Ariane 5 launch arrives at Kourou

TerreStar Networks, a majority owned subsidiary of Terre Star Corporation, and Space Systems/Loral announced that TerreStar-1 has arrived on schedule in Kourou, French Guiana where it is scheduled to launch on 24 June aboard an Ariane 5.

Delays may spell trouble for GPS

The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) has warned that the number of satellites in the GPS constellation could fall below the required 24 spacecraft because of delays in the development of replacement satellites.
