Satellite TV has been around for a while now. Off late however, Satellite TV has gained in popularity across urban as well as semi-urban areas due to the number of channels and the convenience it provides in being able to setup a unit up at any place. Unlike cable TV, which depends on the service provider’s choice of channels, many of which a consumer may never even watch, Satellite TV comes with a host of features that allow a consumer to choose a set of channels to subscribe to. Before subscribing though, you have to be aware of satellite TV cost.

It is important to ensure that you are using the correct size satellite dish to receive the channels you want to watch. A Sky minidish, used in the UK, is pretty much useless for reception on the Costa Blanca. Many channels can be received on an 80cm dish, but if you want to watch the main UK television channels, like BBC ITV C4, then a much bigger dish will be required.
