What is the Future Going to Be For 3D TV?

You know those funny glasses we used to wear when we went to a 3D movie? Well, those paper glasses are being replaced, and now, or soon rather many cable networks are planning to have a 3D channel or several, that will be available and you will be given more robust 3D glasses than those old little paper jobs you get when you went to the movie theatre. Why is this happening now? Simple, most everyone now has a large screen TV in their living room.
