Eutelsat W7 flown to Baikonur

The Eutelsat W7 spacecraft, provided by Thales Alenia Space, has arrived at the Baikonur launch site to begin preparations for launch.

Falcon 9 first stage to be shipped to Cape after test firings

Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) said it successfully conducted two static firings of the first stage, nine engine cluster for its Falcon 9 launch vehicle.

COM DEV begins work on C$12 million civil space programme

COM DEV International Ltd. announced that it has been appointed to begin major subsystem development and manufacturing work for a civil space satellite. COM DEV is responsible for designing, building and testing of advanced radio-frequency (RF) electronics.

Rosetta to visit Earth for the last time

ESA’s Rosetta comet chaser will swing by Earth on 13 November to pick up orbital energy and begin the final leg of its 10-year journey to the outer Solar System. Several observations of the Earth-Moon system are planned before the spacecraft heads out to study comet 67/P Churyumov-Gerasimenko.

The Battle is Over – Blu Ray is Now the Victor in the High Definition DVD Format War
