Living in the United States today, the word ‘bilingual’ comes up often. In fact, in today’s job market, in the realm of education, and even just walking down the street, the country is just a generation or two away from ‘bilingual’ changing from a great quality to an absolute necessity. Some people are essentially bilingual from birth, which generally happens when a person’s family speaks one language at home, but the school system in the country utilizes another.
