If you are one of the thousands of Americans who fell in love with “The Wire” after the series had already stopped airing and are incredibly disappointed that there are no new episodes to look forward to after getting hooked, there is help on the way. Thankfully, the creators of “The Wire,” David Simon and Eric Overmyer, have made his presence known on television in other ways. And while some of his other programs are acclaimed but also off the air, the newest offering, “Treme” just began a first season and is already slated for a second.
