We strive for clarity. It isn’t some abstract focus that we have decided will make our lives better, rather, it is instilled in our biology, in the decisions we make and the ideas we seek to define. After all, why else would people visit the eye doctor, have their eyes tested and wear glasses for their entire lives? The books, ideas, and concepts that we are most attracted to be vested in the simplicity of something that is clear. That’s what high definition television does best; it provides cleaner, clearer, and more vibrant images that are capable of tantalizing even the most bored senses.
