Turkey orders Japanese satellites

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation announced that it has been awarded a turnkey contract to deliver the Turksat 4A and Turksat 4B communications satellite to satellite operator Turksat Satellite Communication and Cable TV Operation AS (Turksat AS).

MESSENGER less than ten days from Mercury orbit insertion

On 17 March, the MESSENGER spacecraft will execute a 15-minute manoeuvre that will place it into orbit about Mercury, making it the first craft ever to do so, and initiating a one-year science campaign to understand the innermost planet.
