New launch date set for Glory

NASA’s Glory spacecraft is scheduled for launch on Friday, 4 March. Technical issues with ground support equipment for the Taurus XL launch vehicle led to the scrub of the original 23 February launch attempt. Those issues have been resolved.

Atlas V X-37B OTV-2 launch set for 4 March

The U.S. Air Force’s 45th Space Wing is set to launch an Atlas V Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on 4 March 2011. The rocket will carry an Air Force X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV).

LightSquared, GPS Industry Council set up working group

M7 Group books fifth Astra transponder at 23.5 degrees East

SES Astra has signed a long-term agreement with M7 Group for an additional transponder on Astra 23.5 degrees East. The capacity will be used for the continued transmission of Dutch regional broadcasters as well as for additional High Definition (HD) services.
