The Ariane 5 deployed Yahsat Y1A, the first satellite to be operated by the United Arab Emirates’ Al Yah Satellite Communications Company; along with Intelsat New Dawn, which was built for the new joint venture of Intelsat and Convergence Partners.

If DirecTV satellite dish signal had to be broken into several parts to cater to different tuners, it was necessary to use a hardware that can successfully perform such a split. This hardware is the DirecTv SWM. SWMs or Single-wire multi-switches are basically switching devices that can be used to control many DirecTV satellite tuner or receivers simultaneously.

There are indeed a great number of advantages with the use of motorized satellite dish. When you have a regular satellite system, your dish is able to pick signals only from specific satellites.
