Update: Zenit 3SLB lifts off with Intelsat 18

A Zenith-3SLB/Block DM-SLB successfully put the Intelsat 18 telecommunications spacecraft into its targeted geosynchronous transfer orbit. The spacecraft separated from the upper stage at 0334 UTC.

ViaSat-1 launch scheduled for 19 October

ViaSat Inc. has announced that the launch of the ViaSat-1 high-capacity satellite is scheduled for 19 October at 1848 UTC. The satellite will be launched from the historic Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

TAS rejects Globalstar order

Thales Alenia Space has rejected Globalstar’s order of six new satellites, the latter said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

LASACO lead insurer for NigComSat 1R
