CGWIC launches satellite for Eutelsat

Rocket: Chang Zheng 3B/E; Payload: Eutelsat W3C; Date: 7 October 2011, 0820 UTC; Launch site: Xichang Satellite Launch Center, China. The 5,400-kg spacecraft was deployed about 25 minutes after lift-off.

Roskosmos finds no flaws in Soyuz batch

Russian Space Agency head Vladimir Popovkin said that an inspection has found no flaws in a batch of rocket engines similar to the one that has caused a crash of Progress 12M on 24 August.

Anik F2 working again; anomaly was caused by software

Telesat confirmed that, following a technical anomaly that occurred on its Anik F2 satellite on 6 October, customer services on Anik F2 were restored late last evening and over night.
