First Vega starts journey to Europe’s Spaceport

Galileo IOV satellites fuelled for launch

Eutelsat orders new satellite for 9 degrees East

Eutelsat Communications announced it is initiating a new satellite programme that will significantly expand and diversify resources at its 9 degrees East location, which addresses high-growth video markets across Europe. A high-capacity Ku-band satellite called Eutelsat 9B, ordered from Astrium, will be launched to 9 degrees East East at the end of 2014. Astrium, ESA team up for European Data Relay System

Astrium will partner with the European Space Agency (ESA) to design, deliver and operate the European Data Relay System (EDRS). Under the terms of the agreement the partners will jointly finance the EDRS. Solar Orbiter and Euclid are ESA’s next two science missions

The Solar Orbiter and Euclid science missions were selected by ESA’s Science Programme Committee for implementation, with launches planned for 2017 and 2019.
