Learn More About DISH’s Auto Hop Feature

June 11th, 2012 by

The Auto-Hop feature was created by DISH to automatically hop over commercials during the evening hours with the Prime Time Anytime feature. This feature is available on the Hopper and Joey system. The Hopper is the primary high-definition unit with a digital video recorder while the Joey’s are secondary high-definition receivers that utilize a tuner from the Hopper. This feature is only available during primetime broadcasting when recorded on the Hopper set-top box with Prime Time Anytime. Existing (DVR) Digital Video Recorder customers already have the option to skip over the commercials with skip forward button that hops forward thirty seconds. The purpose of this feature is to provide a more enjoyable experience for the end-user. Those who prefer to skip over the commercials can automatically do so with the Hopper rather than having to press the button every time a show goes into commercial.Other Posts:Atlas V launches U.S. spy […]
