ViaSat wins initial award from Australia’s NBN

NBN Co, building a wholesale-only national broadband network (NBN) designed to deliver high-speed Internet to all Australians no matter where they live, has selected ViaSat Inc. to provide the ground-based communications, network management, and data processing systems for the Long Term Satellite Service component of the project.

Euroconsult report recognises a turning point for FSS operators

Euroconsult announced the findings of its most recent study of fixed satellite services. “Company Profiles, Analysis of FSS Operators,” now in its 5th edition, provides in-depth profiles of all 38 currently-active FSS satellite operators, plus nine companies that will launch commercial satellites in the near future.

MDA to provide a communications payload for the HYLAS 3 satellite
