Insufficient thrust may have doomed Proton-M

It looks increasingly likely that the crash of a Proton-M carrying three GLONASS satellites on 2 June was caused by a lack of thrust, although different reports emphasise different aspects. Meanwhile, the Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case over the incident.

INSAT-3D completes initial preparations for next Ariane 5 flight

India’s INSAT-3D weather satellite for Arianespace’s next Ariane 5 mission has completed its initial pre-launch checkout at the Spaceport in French Guiana, and is now being readied for fuelling.
