China launches three satellites without announcement

Rocket: Chang Zheng 4C; Payload: Chuangxin-3, Shiyan-7 and Shijian-15; Date: 20 July 2013, 2337 UTC; Site: Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, China. The launch, which had not been announced previously, reportedly was successful.

GPS III satellite prototype to help with launch preparations at Cape Canaveral

Lockheed Martin recently delivered a full-sized, functional prototype of the next-generation Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station to test facilities and pre-launch processes in advance of the arrival of the first GPS III flight satellite.
