ULA and RUAG Space form strategic partnership

United Launch Alliance (ULA) and RUAG Space announced a new strategic partnership in which RUAG will establish a U.S. composites production capability located within ULA’s Decatur, Alabama, factory.

Design changes for Orion fairing separation system tested

Lockheed Martin engineers have successfully completed testing of design changes made to the NASA Orion spacecraft’s fairing separation system. These changes resulted from data collected during Orion’s first test flight on 5 December 2014.

GLONASS-M production comes to an end

Manufacturing of navigational satellites of the GLONASS-M family in the Krasnoyarsk territory has been rounded up and they will be replaced by the satellites of next-generation families – GLONASS-K and GLONASS-K2, a spokesman for manufacturer ISS Reshetnev said.

New resources for COSMO-SkyMed second generation

Thales Alenia Space, acting on behalf of the temporary association of companies with Finmeccanica – Telespazio, and the Italian Space Agency (ASI), on 30 July signed an addendum to the contract for the COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation (CSG) worth EUR182 million.

SES Platform Services to deliver StarTimes TV content

SES Platform Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SES S.A., announced that digital TV operator StarTimes will distribute TV channels for their direct-to-home (DTH) subscribers across Sub-Saharan Africa via SES Platform Services’ broadcast facility in Germany.
