Arabsat and Thales Alenia Space have signed a contract to build Arabsat-7A, a fully flexible Software-Defined Satellite (SDS) based on the Space Inspire (INstant SPace In-orbit REconfiguration) platform by Thales Alenia Space.

Rocket: Chang Zheng 11; Payload: five Jilin-1 Gaofen satellites; Date: 30 April 2022, 0330 UTC. The satellites were deployed into approx. 530 km × 575 km × 97.54 degrees Sun-synchronous orbit.

Rocket: Angara 1,2; Payload: Kosmos 2555; Date: 29 April 2022, 1755 UTC; Launch site: Plesetsk, Russia. The military satellite was placed into a 278 km × 293 km × 96.45 degrees Sun-synchronous orbit.

Rocket: Falcon 9; Payload: Starlink 4-16 (53 satellites); Date: 29 April 2022, 1127 UTC; Launch site: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, USA.

Rocket: Chang Zheng 2C; Payload: Siwei 01, Siwei 02; Date: 29 April 2022, 0411 UTC; Launch site: Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center China. The satellites have entered the planned Sun-synchronous orbit of 486 km × 302 km × 97.47 degrees.
