Executives at Thales Alenia Space and MDA described factories built to turn out one or two satellites a day at World Space Business Week. Component makers at the same conference described lines already at or above capacity and 18-month waits for solar cells.

ESA’s director general used the first fireside chat of World Space Business Week to set out what ministers will be asked in Rome on Dec. 15, a scope that runs from the rocket to crew recovery. Funding follows through ESA’s usual subscription process.
