ISRO teams receive IAA Team Achievement Awards

The team from Indian Space Research Organisation which successfully realised the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C7) mission that launched Cartosat-2 as well as the team that deployed and recovered Space capsule Recovery Experiment (SRE-1) have been awarded the Team Achievement Award of International Academy of Astronautics (IAA).

Space Foundation publishes ITAR white paper

The Space Foundation announced the publication of the white paper “ITAR and the U.S. Space Industry.” The paper examines the effect of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which govern the export of space technology.

SkyWay takes EchoStar transponders

EchoStar Corporation and its EchoStar Satellite Services announced that it has entered into an agreement with SkyWay USA LLC to provide transponder service to support SkyWay USA’s satellite broadband Internet service.

GMV to provide ground system support for LDCM MOE

Astrium to use India’s PSLV for satellite launches

On the occasion of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to France, Astrium has signed a long term agreement with Antrix Corporation, the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), on utilisation of the Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) launch services.

GOCE launch back on track

The Rokot Briz-KM launch vehicle with ESA’s GOCE satellite on board is scheduled for launch from Plesetsk Cosmodrome on 8 October 2008 at 1421:17 UTC. Lift-off was delayed a month because of a problem with the launch vehicle’s upper stage.
